Prophetic Cleanse

We must walk in a cleansed heart and soul to hear the Lord properly and prophecy His word purely. 

I think we have all had this experience. We believe we are hearing the Lord prophetically for ourselves or someone else. Maybe through a dream, vision, or impression. But the “word” falls flat. What we thought we heard for our lives doesn’t happen. The word we release to someone else hurts them. We scratch our head in confusion, wondering what went wrong? Often if we are not mature or able to process with a mature body of prophetic believers around us this can lead to disillusionment and frustration. It can sow doubt and unbelief in the heart towards God and His voice. What we need to realize is that it isn’t due to His speaking being wrong. God is never wrong. God’s voice is pure and perfect. His words are like honey poured out and beautiful gold refined in fire. What it is due to is our hearing being wrong. Many things can effect our perspective and perception. How we see and hear the Lord can be tainted. This is why purity is so important in the prophetic. Purity birthed out of intimacy. Personal intimacy with Jesus is the bedrock of the prophetic. Being connected to Him in communion is the fountain head of all prophecy. 

It’s super crucial to allow the Lord to heal our heart and soul in the secret place and with the body of Christ. Unprocessed soul trauma pollutes and creates great mixture in our ears and mouth. Unresolved sin and pain taint our perspective of God and of people. When things like rebellion, pride, sexual sin, hurt, unforgiveness, bitterness, and offense go unnoticed or unprocessed, much of what we hear and see from God about Him, ourselves, and others will be heard and seen through the looking glass of our soul trauma and heart issues. 

“Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion? Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted. From the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness— only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with olive oil.” Isaiah‬ ‭1:5-6‬‬‬

Rebellion injures your head and afflicts your heart. Rebellion removes all soundness. A rebellious spirit keeps your wounds, welts, and sores from being cleansed, bandaged, and soothes from the anointing of the Spirit. Rebellion opens you up to demonic spirits. The Bible says to submit to God and resist the devil and He will flee. An Un submitted heart to God opens the door to demonic torment and partnership with unclean spirits.

Jesus said out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Rebellion in the heart manifests witchcraft on the tongue.

Many well meaning Christians who are walking in rebellion of heart, feeding the appetites of the flesh, and carrying unprocessed pain and trauma fall into deception and speak forth “words” to the body of Christ that are actually curses, witchcraft, and are in partnership with the serpent tongue. 

To cleanse our lips we must allow the Lord to cleanse our hearts and souls. For the sake of purity in receiving and delivering words to others, heart and soul issues must be dealt with. We need the Spirit of God to cleanse us and release us from all perversion and pain. 

Unfortunately what can happen is we continue to move forward with “what” we feel called too without processing pain that has accumulated. We have great zeal and passion to serve the Lord and do His work. We continue to minister to people, prophecy words, and in turn do great damage on the body of Christ. God looks more at the “how” and the “why”. The way matters greatly to Him. With a lack of awareness of the bottled up issues in our hearts and souls we run ahead with zeal without any knowledge or wisdom (intimacy and love) and become a steam roller! A trail of hurt people are left in our wake and we wonder why we constantly feel misunderstood or rejected by people. 

We need His wisdom and knowledge to truly know His ways. We need His tender love to let Him transform our ways and bind up our wounds so we can move forward and function in health and wholeness in hearing the Lord and releasing His word to the body. Intimacy beckons. His heart of love cry’s out: “Come away with me my love! Come away! Let me love on you for awhile! Let me heal all your pain! Let me wash you with the water of my word! Let me kiss you with the kisses of my mouth.” 

I want to encourage you to open up your heart and let Him in. Come to Him with all your cares. Submit to Him in the secret place. Surrender all your fears. Ask Him to search you and know you! He loves you deeply. He desires to care for you. His healing oil flows from His heart of love to bind up, restore, release, and heal us spirit, soul, and body. Get help from the church. Be vulnerable and transparent with others. Go through some good inner healing and deliverance sessions to dislodge the bottled up trauma. Get Godly counsel. Then arise and move forward in heath and wholeness!
